Leonardo is responsible for the delivery of the redesign and implementation of ABN AMRO Asset Management. The website consists of many components, one being open source software and technology.
Since Leonardo started working at ABN AMRO 10 years ago, he has been involved in many projects. In the last couple of years, he has been running projects at Asset Management in the marketing and e-business department.
Leonardo has a master’s degree in Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
ABN AMRO Bank
ABN AMRO Bank was one of the largest banks in the world. Recently taken over by the consortium Santander, Fortis and Royal Bank of Scotland.
ABN AMRO Asset Management business unit goes to Fortis Investments in the take over of the consortium.

Open Source Technology in the Banking Industry
The presentation is about why we, ABN AMRO Asset Management, used Open Source technology in the Redesign of the Global ABN AMRO Asset Management website.
This is done by describing the website case, in which the use of Open Source, Closed Source, Off Shoring and Out Sourcing is the development model to reduce development and support costs. The strengths and weaknesses of this model are compared and the role Open Source played in it.
