Presentation

Wednesday, November 7th: 10.30 - 12.00

Track: MOSS 2007

One company, One intranet - How to use a MOSS2007 intranet to support a one company agenda

As a part of the sustainable energy business LM Glasfiber is growing at a tremendous rate of about 20% per year. In 2007 alone 3 new factories has become operational and the number of employees have risen by more than 1000. This creates a tremendous demand for a platform for sharing information across borders and departments.

LM Glasfiber decided to use a new, global intranet to facilitate information sharing and to support the one company agenda. Coming from a number of local intranets the challenge has been to create something useful and very practical – and at the same time keep up with the fast pace of the rest of the company.

In this presentation you will learn about a slightly different and very practical approach to building an intranet, how permissions and access are based on trust and respect, and how this enables all employees worldwide to work as one team.
